The 2008 Northeast Florida Memory Walk, which is the national signature fundraising event of the Alzheimer’s Association, will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at The Jacksonville Landing. Nearly 1,200 local residents are expected to participate in this year’s event to raise awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer’s disease.

On Saturday September 20th the Talking Book / Special Needs Library will host a free showing of the Disney sci-fi classic The Black Hole in closed captions for the deaf, hearing impaired, their friends and family. North Florida Christian Starz and Sparklz is a non-profit, All-Star, Christian cheerleading squad that is having a Car Wash Fundraiser on Saturday, September 27 from 9:00am-3:00pm at the Pizza Hut located at the corner of Normandy Blvd and Fouraker Road.  This will be a donations accepted car wash.
